Huawei subsidiary has launched the world’s first device equipped with HarmonyOS, Honor Vision

Internationally renowned budget smartphone brand Honor officially launched its Honor Vision Series at the 2019 Huawei Developer Conference (HDC 19).

The futuristic 4K HDR TV is Honor’s first smart screen product.

Mr. George Zhao, President of Honor, said it is packed full of what is dubbed ‘sharp tech’ innovations.

The 55in Honor Vision TV arrives armed with three Huawei self-developed intelligent chipsets.

These are the Honghu 818 Intelligent Display Chipset, an AI Camera NPU chipset and a flagship-level Wi-Fi chipset.

Honor Vision is also the world’s first smart screen device to carry Huawei’s self-developed HarmonyOS.

“Honor Vision is not just television as we know it. It defines the future of television with Honor’s ‘sharp tech’ innovations,” Mr. George Zhao, President of Honor, said.

“It is not only a home entertainment centre, but also an information sharing centre, a control management centre and a multi-device interaction centre.”

The intelligent display includes the Family Note Function. What this means is users can transfer images from their smartphone at speeds 100 times faster than Bluetooth.


The reveal came at Huawei Developer Conference HDC 19 in Dongguan city.

It followed a day after Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group, launched HarmonyOS.

Among the other innovative features on the Honor Vision TV are a Smart Pop-up AI Camera. This is equipped with a dedicated HiSilicon Hi3516DV300 NPU chipset.

The shooter boasts AI capabilities such as face recognition, body tracking and posture detection.

The camera’s pop-up design means users will enjoy a smart and secure experience according to Honor.

It tilts downwards by 10 degrees when wall-mounted. And it automatically hides behind the screen when not in use.

Honor Vision is also equipped with a flagship Wi-Fi chipset — HiSilicon Hi1103 – that supports download speeds of up to a mind blowing 1.7Gbps.

There are two variants of Honor Vision – 2GB+16GB standard version and the 2GB+32GB PRO version.

Huawei has yet to announce if the TVS will be available in European territories such as Ireland.
