BIG FLATS – The sixth annual Twin Tiers Comic Con (T2C2) will make its return the weekend of Nov. 9-10 with festivities to take place at the Arnot Event Center in Big Flats.

T2C2 has been held at First Arena in Elmira for the past several years. Event hosts said they expect this year’s iteration to be the biggest one yet.

“This is our first show up at the events center,” said Mike Royle of Page One Entertainment, the show’s organizer. “It’ll be our largest show ever.”

T2C2 2019 will feature video game tournaments, virtual reality gaming, board game demonstrations, radio-controlled car races and photo opportunities with replica vehicles including the Batmobile, the Batboat, the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the Impala from Supernatural and the Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo.

This year’s major guest is actor Seth Gilliam, who played Ellis Carver on the HBO series The Wire and Father Gabriel Stokes on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Gilliam will hold a Q&A session at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Former Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Manny Sanguillén, a three-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion, will also make an appearance.

Both Gilliam and Sanguillén will be available for photo ops and autographs. The costs for photos and autographs haven’t been determined yet.

T2C2 will also feature more than 50 writers, craftspeople and vendors selling projects and merchandize. Outback Steakhouse is this year’s food vendor with food for sale throughout the event.

Royle said he expects a large attendance at this year’s event.

“I think we’re easily on-par with the year when we had Verne Troyer and the Power Rangers, and we haven’t really even pushed really hard for pre-sales yet,” he said.
